How it’s done

The VirtualGenerator™ function automatically re-allocates power modules when a grid outage occur.

Details:

  • Zone 2: powers the IT load
  • Zone 3: powers the cooling (in by-pass during normal operation)

Case 2: Electronics Manufacturing Supplier (EMS)

The loads

  • A: 10 kW manufacturing mgmt. (e.g. SAP, Axapta) (No-break, high priority)
  • B: 10 kW work shop/test field (no-break, but lower priority)

Unique benefits

Traditional modular UPS solution

  • A: One 10 kW N+1 (equivalent to 4 converters)
  • B: One 10 kW N (equivalent to 2 converters)

Benefits using the LeanEco solution

  • Uses 17% fewer power converters (5)
  • Actual protection on A: N+3 on A (B may be canibalised)

How it’s done

The two output zones share all the power modules.
Since output A is given High priority, the system will borrow modules from B (and shut B down if needed)
